Ferrybank

Ferrybank GAA is based in the village of Ferrybank, on the north bank of the River Suir just across the water from Waterford City. The village straddles the Waterford and Kilkenny county boundary, and the club's pitch has the distinction of standing in both counties, with one set of goalposts in each. The club itself competes in Waterford GAA competitions.

Gaelic games have been played in Ferrybank since the early 1890s, when the first team in the area went by the name of the Davis's. The club in its present form was founded in 1950 and marked its fiftieth anniversary in 2000.

Ferrybank caters for boys and girls from the age of five upwards and fields teams at every juvenile grade. Its juvenile hurlers took county titles at under 14 and under 16 in 2007, the same year the club's footballers were crowned Waterford junior champions. Adult hurling teams are fielded at senior and junior level. The club colours are white and green.
