Stradbally

Stradbally GAA is based in the coastal village of Stradbally in County Waterford, fielding teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. Football is where the club has made its name, and its 19 Waterford Senior Football Championships put it among the most successful football clubs in the county.

The strongest period in the club's history came in the 2000s, when Stradbally won five county senior championships in a row between 2001 and 2005. Further titles followed in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2017. Munster honours have proved harder to come by: the club has reached the provincial club final twice without winning it, and on more than one occasion its Munster campaign has been complicated by the Waterford county final falling late in the calendar. In 2017 the county championship finished a week after the provincial final, leaving Waterford without a representative, and in 2015 the club had to play a Munster quarter final the day after winning the county title.

Michael Walsh, the long serving Waterford hurler and county captain, is a Stradbally clubman. The club colours are white and red.
