Kilrossanty

Kilrossanty GAA is based at Lemybrien in the Comeragh foothills of County Waterford, taking its name from the nearby village of Kilrossanty and playing home games at Páirc Naomh Bríd. It is one of the oldest clubs in the county and one of the larger Gaelic football clubs in Waterford.

Football is the club's main code, but hurling is played at underage level and adult hurling teams have been fielded on many occasions. Kilrossanty won the county Junior B hurling title in 1990 and again in 2016, the latter with a win over Mount Sion.

The club has an unexpected place in Kerry football folklore. In the early years of the GAA, Kerry wore red and green. Travelling east for a tournament in Dungarvan in 1903, the Kerry party left their jerseys behind and borrowed a green and gold set from Kilrossanty. They played well in them, liked them, and adopted the colours permanently. Kilrossanty still plays in green and gold.
