About the club

Glenealy Hurling Club, in Irish Cumann Iomána Ghleann Fhaidhle, serves the parish of Glenealy and Ashford in County Wicklow. It was founded in 1885, in the earliest years of the GAA, as a football club, and changed codes to hurling in the early 1920s.

Since then it has become the dominant hurling club in the county. Glenealy competes each year in the Wicklow Senior Hurling Championship and has won it sixteen times, a tally no other club in Wicklow approaches.

The club runs teams at underage grades as well as adult level. Its colours are red and white.
