About the club

Dregish Pearse Óg, in Irish Deargais Phiarais Óig, was a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the townland of Dregish, between Drumquin and Castlederg in County Tyrone. It was named after Pádraig Pearse and drew its players from the rural parts of the parish of Ardstraw West.

The club concentrated on Gaelic football. Having struggled with playing numbers for several years, it amalgamated in November 2019 with neighbouring Newtownstewart St Eugene's to form Naomh Eoghan GAC.

The ground at Dregish is recorded here for the sake of the location and the history attached to it. Anyone looking for the current club in the area should look for Naomh Eoghan.
