Achill

Achill is a Gaelic football club representing Achill Island and the Currane Peninsula, playing at Davitt Park.

The club was founded in 1941. Gaelic games were nothing new to the area, but until then no single club had brought the footballers of its many villages together to represent the parish as one team.

Its junior footballers contested their first West Mayo Championship the following year.
