Cavan Gaels

Cavan Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Cavan town, playing at Terry Coyle Park. It was founded in 1957 when two clubs in the town, Cavan Harps and Cavan Slashers, merged.

The club is the second most successful in the county's history, with 14 Senior Championship titles, the most recent in 2017.

Its dominance was concentrated in one remarkable spell: between 1998 and 2017 Cavan Gaels reached 16 of the 20 Cavan Senior Football Championship finals, winning ten of them.
